When I launched the FreestyleMixtapes Podcast on January 1, 2026, I had one clear vision: to celebrate, preserve, and elevate the undeniable pulse of Freestyle’s unsung heroes, the Deejay!
Deejays have been keeping Freestyle alive since the early days of social media! Before Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, deejays shared their mixes and aired live mix shows on sites like Clubfreestyle.com Com and the original Freestyle.FM (formerly WhatChaMissin.Com).
“FreestyleMixtapes was created to showcase Freestyle’s greatest assets: the DJs and their Mixes! “
But now, with Social Media in full swing, it’s even harder to track down your favorite Deejays and mix shows. Where we used to have just a few sites dedicated to Freestyle Music, social media has spread it across multiple platforms.
FreestyleMixtapes.Com and its Apple Podcast aim to solve this by offering a dedicated site and podcast for Freestyle Music, its deejays, and their mixes!
Reaching the top five in under a year is more than a milestone; it’s a testament to Freestyle music’s enduring power. From artists, producers, and promoters to podcasters and radio deejays, all of whom keep the genre thriving today, Freestyle is alive and well.
Special thanks to…
